WE'RE HIRING Day School Specialists and Training Instructors! Full time up to 35 hours/week. Wages commensurate with experience starting at $10-$15/hour. We're seeking enthusiastic, dependable, energetic individuals to join our team. We have openings for 2 Day School Specialists and 1 experienced Class Instructor. Experience working with dogs is preferred.
Positions are as follows:
Day School Specialists - Entry Level position; learn to train dogs enrolled in our Enrichment Play & Train Day School using positive reinforcement training methods, supervise play pal sessions, and work at special events. Working hours are 8am-5pm. Scheduled days may be Tuesday through Friday; may include weekends. An in-house trainer program (separate from work schedule) is available for those who wish to advance or further their education in dog training.
Class Instructors - Experienced instructors preferred; teach dog training classes, work with clients, and/or work one-on-one with clients during private sessions, conduct seminars at the school, and work special events. Working hours are 5:30pm-9pm for evening classes, may include weekends. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, personable individuals who want to be part of our team. Candidates should be willing to participate in classes to better understand our training program.

- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A consistent and reliable form of communication.
- A consistent and reliable form of transportation.
- Consistent and reliable, daily access to the internet.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Dependable with an ability to stay on task in a time driven environment.
- Physical ability to handle dogs of all breeds, mixes, sizes, ages and temperaments, without the use of punishment and physical force. (Previous dog handling experience preferred.)
- Some knowledge of canine behavior and how animals learn is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and use positive reinforcement techniques.
- Excellent client service skills with an ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely while staying on task.
- Ability to work scheduled hours, and work special events to promote the school.
- Other duties include (but are not limited to) set up and clean up.
- CGC Evaluator certification, or other certification is a plus.
