AKC Trick Dog
Consultations may be scheduled to assess your dog's temperament, provide initial management and structure protocols, and determine the best course of action for ongoing training or behavior modification.
This is not for dogs with aggressive behaviors. Dogs presenting with extremely reactive behaviors will immediately be moved to a Behavior Modification program, or the Space Dogs Class.
This fee is for one dog.
Private Training programs are scheduled according to availability. Private Training is to work on specific training cues normally taught in a basic class, a tailored fitness program, or specialty activities such as taught in the Sampler Class, Happy Heeling or TAG You're It. The first session is one hour. Appointments may be scheduled as 3 consecutive sessions and may be up to one hour.
Dogs presenting with reactive behaviors will immediately be redirected to a Behavior Modification program, or the Space Dogs Class.
Behavior Modification programs are scheduled according to availability. The first session is a consultation to assess the dog's behavior. A minimum of 6 sessions are required; additional sessions may be required depending on the intensity of the presenting behavior.
Reactive dogs are required to wear a head collar such as a Gentle Leader® during all training sessions. Between sessions, owners are required to keep a daily journal of all interactions with their dog, behavior triggers, and management steps, according to the recommended behavior modification protocols.
To truly modify behavior (not suppress it) it is impossible to guarantee an outcome or designate a specific time frame that will accomplish all behavior modification needs due to factors such as: the dog’s age and temperament, control of environmental triggers, and 100% owner compliance and ongoing management.
