For pups between the ages of 10 weeks – 16 weeks. Introduce your preadolescent puppies to positive social experiences in a controlled environment! Activities include crate games, ball & bottle pool, textures, sounds, smells and managed interaction/play with other puppies to reduce arousal. Enjoy social interaction, appropriate play, and introduction to obedience cues. Receive $10 off STAR Puppy Plus upon completion of all 4 sessions!
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy®: This is a 6-week class for pups up to 1 year of age. Family members are encouraged to participate, including school age children. Attendance of 6 classes is required by the AKC to be recognized as a STAR Puppy. AKC requirements can be found on their website www.akc.org/dog-owners/training/akc-star-puppy/test-items-pledge/
We include exercises for puppies mental and social development to complement the AKC program.
For dogs 1 year and older. Family members learn to train your dog in a confident & consistent manner as well as address impulse control, and establish proper communication with your dog. Dogs shift from adolescence to social maturity; behaviors that were a nuisance during adolescence may now be problematic. Training cues are beginning obedience skills such as: SIT, DOWN, RECALLS, LEASH WALKING, STAY, LEAVE IT, etc.

Dogs of all ages. Our Jr. Handlers (10-17 yrs) are our future dog owners, trainers, & competitors! We’ll teach etiquette, review rules, and proper equipment needed for various sports. Competition take teamwork between the handler & their dog. This classes introduces students to Conformation, Rally (and possibly a third sport). Emphasis on proper leash behavior, attention to the handler, setting the dog up for success, physical standards and proper conformation for all dogs (mixed breeds too)!

Are you ready to have some fun with your dog? Yes? Then fabulous! Each week students will pawsitively work on activities including low impact Obstacles, Seek & Find, and Tricks (such as teaching your dog to bowl)! Completion of a STAR Puppy or Basic class is a required prerequisite.

Have you completed a STAR Puppy or Beginner Basic Obedience class but aren’t quite ready to advance to the next level? Improve your skills with Doggy Drills©! Each week focuses on those behaviors owners often the most challenging: Leave It, Wait, Stay and Loose Leash Walking. These behaviors are worked on while using the 4 D's of dog training: Duration, Distance, Distractions and Diversity.

Whether your dog is currently a day school student or you're thinking about enrolling them, this is a great way to learn what your dog is experiencing!
Would you like to experience obstacle training with your dog? Are you interested in learning the obedience cues we're teaching your dog? Do you wonder how we introduce dogs and how they'll make good play pals?
Limited to 6 dogs
Are you interested in the fun aspects of Agility without the pressure of competition? Wobble boards, pause tables, and other items will be used; cues such as right, left, go out and go around will also be taught. Your dog will learn obstacles as well as follow your sequence directions going over jumps or through hoops and tunnels. Dogs must be able to work off leash. Class is limited to 6 dogs
This class is a fun way for teams to practice obedience and hone their obedience skills! Even if you have no plans to compete, this class will help you enhance your relationship with your dog! Behaviors such as focused heeling, the difference between stationary behaviors, moving behaviors and change of direction, as well as execution of Rally Novice signs, rules and regulations. Your dog must be able to walk well on a loose leash. Class is limited to 6 dogs
Does your dog have a nose for fun? Introduce them to the fun activity of searching by scent! For students who just want to have fun playing “Find It” or “Go Search”! Learn how to train your dog to search for frequently lost objects, such as your keys or your phone! Class is limited to 6 dogs
2 SESSIONS: to a reliable recall! When your dog is loose, you need your dog to COME back to you immediately. In this class we concentrate on how to reinforce reliable recalls. We begin with attention and use a variety of recall games to engage your dog and develop the recall relationship. This class is for the dog who performs his training cues well EXCEPT for coming when called. Limited to 6 dogs.
If your basic obedience is feeling a bit humdrum, have fun with your dog in our tricks class! This class is an introduction to tricks and is for anyone who’s completed a STAR Puppy, Basic Obedience or CGC class. Learn to use a combination of luring and shaping to teach your dog novice level tricks. CGC title holders only need 5 tricks to achieve their Novice Trick Dog title!
Have you completed the Novice Tricks class and enjoyed the fun interaction you had with your dog? Then build on those skills and step up a level of training! Learn to phase out lures and work to achieve your AKC Intermediate Tricks Title!

Dogs of all ages. Help your dog prepare for holiday gatherings! This class focuses on basic obedience, lying politely while the owner eats, waiting for their food bowl, proper behavior at the door, park it or kennel up & wait for 1 minute, play a game or do a trick with owner, out for a walk, & outdoor exercise. Opportunity to obtain an AKC virtual title at end of class.
PLEASE NOTE: This class IS NOT for dogs in need of rehabilitation. This class is for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries.
The AKC FIT DOG is a fun, fitness course to inspire dog families to engage in fitness-related activities to minimizing weekend warrior type injuries. Learn proper form, fitness safety and skills to help with strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and more!
Pre-Requisites: STAR Puppy or Basic Obedience. Dogs must know the training game & how to settle on their mat.
This class will prepare owners and their dogs with the skills needed to prepare for the Canine Good Citizen Test at graduation. This level will introduce heeling, as well as intermediate to advanced communication techniques and behaviors. Prerequisite for the test: Passing of the CGC test. All well trained dogs. with required skills may participate in the class.
This class will prepare owners and their dogs with the skills needed to prepare for the Canine Good Citizen Advanced Test at graduation and builds on the skills learned in the Canine Good Citizen Class. Prerequisite for the test: Passing of the CGCA test. All well trained dogs with required skills may participate.
AKC Urban CGC requires that the dog demonstrate CGC skills and beyond in a community setting. This class has a 10-step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the official AKC Urban CGC title. Prerequisite: CGC Class completion or 4-week Trick class. Using a combination of lure, capture and shaping, owners will learn to build on behaviors that their dog offers naturally, and turn it into a trick! We also teach specific tricks required to achieve your AKC Tricks Titles. We teach you how to capture, lure and shape a behavior. PREREQUISITE: Completion of a STAR Puppy, Basic Manners, Obedience Skills 1, or CGC Class
4 weeks: Learn interactive poses for your dog in this class taught by Tami Tomlinson, owner of Living Life Now, Certified Ayurveda Health Coach and Certified Yoga Instructor. You’ll learn how to teach your dog stretches and poses for muscle tone and fun! Doga Paws© poses are positions that dogs of all sizes can perform easily with your guidance.
Class is limited to 6 dogs.
A trainer is scheduled to work with you to provide personal instruction on how to train your dog. Therefore, all private sessions are paid for, at the time of scheduling. Please read school policies carefully regarding cancellation and rescheduling of private sessions. Sessions may be at your home or at the school. In-home sessions are an additional $50/session.
Evaluations are 30 minutes and are scheduled to assess your dog's temperament and/or determine your dog's suitability for our Enrichment Day School program (day training), or group classes.
Evaluations are conducted at the school only.
This is not for dogs with aggressive behaviors. Dogs presenting with extremely reactive behaviors will immediately be recommended for a Behavior Modification program, or the Space Dogs Class.
This fee is for one dog.
Consultations are 60 minutes and are scheduled to assess your dog's temperament, and determine the best course of action for ongoing training or behavior modification.
Consultations may be conducted. at the school, in your home, or virtually.
Dogs presenting with extremely reactive behaviors will immediately be recommended for a Behavior Modification program, or the Space Dogs Class.
This fee is for one dog.
Private Training programs for one dog are scheduled according to availability to work on specific training cues normally taught in a basic class, a tailored fitness program, or specialty activities such as taught in the Sampler Class, Happy Heeling or TAG You're It. The first session is one hour.
Appointments are scheduled as 3 consecutive 1 hour appointments.
Dogs presenting with reactive behaviors will immediately be redirected to a Behavior Modification program. Fee is for one dog.
Behavior Modification programs, maybe virtual, in-home, or at the school, and are scheduled according to availability. The first session is a consultation to assess the dog's behavior. The listed fee is for 1 dog.
A minimum of 6 sessions are required; additional sessions may be required depending on the intensity of the presenting behavior. Reactive dogs are required to wear a head collar such as a Gentle Leader® during all training sessions.

6 WEEKS: Reactive dogs need space! Do you have a red hot chili dog or a yellow chicken dog? Does your dog bark and lunge at people, dogs, or things (skateboards, bicycles, cars)? Then you have a Hot Dog who needs Space!
This is not an "obedience class". This class is to teach owners and their dogs how to relax in stressful situations.
This class is not suitable for dogs who have aggressively bitten a person or attacked another dog.
This class is limited to 5 dogs.
